Many thanks Brian and everyone for all your help. I finally got the bearing carrier out and it was the pin as you thought Brian, somehow it had worked its way loose. The whole area does seem original and nothing had moved so I tapped the pin back in and filled the space with solder and used a centre punch to crimp the end over that I reckon it should work ok. The parts I ordered arrived today which once again is amassing. You all rock over there. I ordered a Clymers manual with the order, you informed me Brian that it was out of stock and you had them on a back order. Could you send me one when you get them in. Dear MM Once again I would like to thank you for your service. I ordered some parts online on Sunday night and received the parts on Tuesday. Perth to Townsville (about as far as you can get and still be in Australia) in less than 48 hours! Thanks again.
